Job Description
As a Data Analyst in WM Analytics & Reporting Core Platform team, you will play a critical role in defining and executing on WM Data & Analytics Strategy which is foundational to rapidly growing product development of market differentiating end-to-end capabilities within the Asset & Wealth Management organization. The position is ideal for an individual that can combine product management and end to end ownership experience, a deep understanding of next generation data and analytics environments and superior problem structuring skills. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design data architecture solutions, standards and principles. You will participate in the architecture and modelling of vast amounts of data within the business. In this role, you will continue to evolve the roadmap for leveraging cloud resources to manage our data fabric. You will be responsible for developing the models, persistence and processes that will provide the foundation for the next wave of business intelligence, self-service analytics and data science innovations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across business & technology to facilitate and positively influence solution development and ongoing support in an agile environment
  • Drives data architecture and technology vision to implement solutions supporting data management strategy and desired business outcomes
  • Leads overall design of data architecture and data models, ensuring data is available and shared consistently with necessary controls & entitlements, provides and uses expert knowledge in design activities to translate high level business requirements into data model and appropriate metadata, test data and data quality standards
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models to support the data management strategy
  • Analyze source systems to understand the data and develop data models
  • Review data and identify data anomalies that hinder movement to future state architecture
  • Assist in selection and integration of data related tools, frameworks and applications required to expand platform capabilities
  • Understand and implement best practices in data management including metadata, data quality and lineage


Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Solid hands-on experience as data analyst and/or data modeler
  • Broad experience with data standards, data policies, metadata management, data governance strategies, data profiling and source to target mapping documentation
  • Extremely proficient with SQL and using SQL to analyze data
  • Working knowledge of relational and distributed databases
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct/deconstruct complex data queries
  • Able to articulate/translate business problems into high level requirements and technology solutions, execute on legacy application migration and manage strategic alignment to target state architecture
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Wealth Management accounting, trading & post trading platforms is highly preferred
