Wholesale Risk Project Manager - Associate
Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various functions across Wholesale Risk overseeing delivery of Firmwide Data Management and WR CDO initiatives coupled with standard BAU activities. The role will require abilities to multitask and deliver simultaneously on various initiatives.
The successful candidate who is a change driver and effective communicator will join the team as an Associate and will report to Wholesale Risk Chief Data Office Chief Operating Officer focusing on the following objectives:
- Program/project management-support transformational, multi-year data governance and data risk management programs and related projects
- Communication Strategy - support execution of communication strategy across variety of communication channels across teams and stakeholders
- Business management- support efforts to promote efficient, well documented and controlled processes
Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, manage and monitor project plans
- Monitor progress against established goals and milestones
- Identify and escalate risks, issues and dependencies impacting project execution
- Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate risks/issues to leadership as needed
- Support WR CDO communication strategy
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations and updates to the team, leadership and stakeholders
- Maintaining strong working relationships with WR CDO stakeholders
- Identify, evaluate and drive operational improvements across WR CDO team
- Develop and maintain process and control documentation (e.g., standard operating procedures, process flows, data flows)
- Actively participate and contribute to working groups and forums
Qualification:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
Experience
Required
- 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Internal/External Reporting, Risk Management, Data Governance, Business Analysis or Project Management experience
Preferred
- Advisory or consulting experience in Risk, Finance, Data or Technology
- Project management, including scope, timing, resource allocation, and performance
- Experience providing regular status updates, monitoring project performance and managing stakeholder relationships
- Experience using business intelligence, data visualization and project management tools
- Data Risk management experience
- Risk management experience (preferably with Market, Credit, Principal, Country, Model risks)
Communication / Influence
- Excellent ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak about these processes
- A developed leadership presence capable of effective messaging of complex systems and processes to junior team members and upper management alike
- Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently in a flexible, fast paced environment
- Must be detail oriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound and independent judgment
- Ability to conceptualize and design effective presentations, sound knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint software and presentation design.
Technical
- Overall strong desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools/applications
- Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with relational databases, SQL, and BI tools is a plus
- Experience with tools such as Qlikview, Alteryx, Tableau is a plus
