Job Description Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office - Strategic Tooling and Metadata: PM/BA (VP)

Overview
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset & Wealth Management Chief Data Office (CDO) was established to define AWM's data strategy and support the consumption and use of data used across AWM.
Within the CDO, the AWM Data Definition and Modelling Team partners with AM, WM and AWM stakeholders from the business, operations, and technology. The team executes a series of workstreams that deliver data definitions, classification, and logical data models to our AWM functions and programs. To support this effort the team are working to deliver a strategic metadata automation solution. The solution will enable user to create the required data classification definition and models for our data offerings. So creating data content, enabling data discovery for AWM.
Deliverables vary across our programs of work, but the role requires someone with strong data analyst, requirements capture, management and prioritization / communication skills within an agile construct. The role will support Build of our Tooling, Data modelling, Data definition and classification.
It is essential to have a good working knowledge on data principles/standards, data quality and metadata management.
Key Responsibilities

  • Own the facilitation of the capture and definition of Metadata automation, data classification, data definition and data modeling requirements.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in Data Definition, Data Classification, Logical Data Modelling.
  • Identify approaches to automating the documenting, defining, and classifying data in an ongoing sustainable process which will be built within the metadata automation tooling.
  • Identify and manage any interdependencies that may arise with projects in flight on existing infrastructure
  • Prepare requirements, use cases, JIRA's to enable the requirements process
  • Prepare presentations and materials for stakeholder reviews, project team meetings and leadership reviews
  • Create and manage partnerships with key stakeholders including, Business Users, Operations, Technology, Data Management
  • Serve as a key point of escalation and liaise with partners to resolve issues where required.


Qualifications, experience, skills and attributes:

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in, Project Management / Agile development processes, Data Analysis, Requirements management and Data Governance
  • Excellent management and delivery skills
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly define and deconstruct problems leveraging strong analytical and end-to-end problem-solving skills.
  • Takes accountability for completing deliverables and enjoys owning tasks and jumping in to deliver
  • Knowledge and experience in data management and technology functions preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with a fine attention to detail.
  • Very detail oriented and able to abstract detail and impact to a higher level
  • Independent, organized, self-motivated and a team player.
  • Ability to think through and outline work processes in a thoughtful and detailed manner
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively; be proactive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possesses excellent judgment, knows when to escalate complex issues to senior management or functional partners with relevant expertise.
  • Adaptable to work in an evolving and changeable environment.
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); Advanced skills with standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project); Familiarity with process-mapping tools (e.g. MS Visio, etc.)
