Job Description Our Team
The CCB Operations Analytics team studies the interaction behaviors of customers to identify opportunities, recommend strategies and implement business solutions to improve customer experience, customer engagement and operational efficiency.
Currently the team is building the Enterprise Call Discovery, a platform that transforms our ability to understand customer interactions in the phone channel by reengineering call reason data across all lines of business empowering Product Teams to easily identity customer friction/pain points. The team also developed and maintains the Operations Carbon Footprint dashboards for Credit Card, Consumer Bank, Auto Finance and Risk, which provide meaningful and actionable metrics and allow Operations to assess the impact of these areas on their business.
Job Description
The VP, Quantitative Analytics Manager will have a central role in the design, development and deployment of analytic solutions such as Enterprise Call Discovery, in which he/she/they will have the chance to drive the conversation on call reasons and customers activities, greatly influencing the way in which all business units conduct analytics and deliver actionable insights around the phone channel.
In addition to assuming a considerable technical hands-on coding and data responsibility, this position will also be responsible for socializing, promoting and supporting the implementation of the analytic solution, working with teams across all business units to identify and recommend ways to leverage it for specific deliverables, including dashboards, reports, adhoc requests, etc.
The successful candidate will learn newly implemented technologies such as Praesto (telephony), One Chase Service and Call Miner (voice transcription). The candidate will have the opportunity to work with and mentor a dynamic, highly skilled, always-motivated group of professionals, in a collaborative environment, where constant learning and team growth are encouraged and expected.
Role Expectations

  • Engage stakeholders and consolidate partnerships to continuously understand business drivers, goals, priorities and opportunities
  • Proactively research multiple and diverse data sources, recognize relevant variables and data points, and transform them into metrics and attributes to creatively represent the business
  • Partner with technical subject matter experts, understand our technological environment and recommend viable end-to-end solutions, including data sources, ETL, transformation and deployment
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze data, comprehend and explain the story it represents
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues concisely
  • Mentor the team in best practices and creative approaches to addressing diverse challenges
  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, structured approach to writing code and creating comprehensive documentation


Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience on analytics roles, data management, data transformation, preferably on a leading function.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative discipline with a focus on data management, computer science, analytics and/or statistics
  • Demonstrated advanced SQL skills to conduct data discovery, validate, de-duplicate, aggregate, unveil edge cases, understand main attributes, sessionize, transform data structures, etc.
  • Experience working across multiple database platforms, preferably Teradata, Oracle and Hadoop Hive/Impala environments
  • Experience working on Integrated Development Environments, such as Teradata SQL Assistant, Toad Data point or Oracle SQL Developer
  • Experience with ETL tools, preferably implementing Alteryx workflows
  • Experience designing and developing dashboards and visualizations in Tableau, focused on telling the story
