Technology and Operations Risk (TOR) is part of the Global Technology division and manages operational and technology related risks on behalf of the Firm. The groups key principles are to provide proactive, comprehensive and consistent risk management, to enable the execution of the Firms strategy.

The STAR Security Controls Assurance seeks a Vice President of Data Analyst who will drive our shift left approach and continuous security assurance.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Be Data Curious - Analyze large, complex data sets to produce compelling insights and identify trends and patterns.
  • Profile and analyze data sources to determine effectiveness of critical security controls in a near continuous fashion.
  • Use a combined knowledge of computer science and applications, data modelling, statistics, analytics to solve business problems using data and risk knowledge
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project objectives and refine requirements
  • Become a domain expert in technology risk and cyber risk to help the division manage its risk profile and transform existing assurance processes to make them more efficient.



Qualifications:

  • Strong technology risk, cyber, or info security background
  • Strong data analysis skills (e.g. SQL, Excel)
  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject (e.g. Information Technology, Risk Management, Computing Science, Data Science/Analytics)
  • Technology risk certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CISSP, CISM desirable
  • Assertive personality and Strong communication skills to interface with data owners
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Technology applications and infrastructure (e.g. server, network, platform desktop environment) and how they are used in large organizations
  • Experience in working using Agile methodologies (ceremonies & tooling (e.g. JIRA))
