Job Description The Data & Analytics team is the engine that powers JPMorgan Chase with insights to create competitive advantages for our business and deliver value for our customers. We have unified data and analytics talent across the firm and encompass a variety of disciplines including data science, reporting, quantitative analytics, and data governance. Within this organization, the Decision Sciences team leverages industry-leading data-driven techniques to convert data into meaningful insights that enable the firm to drive value and an outstanding customer experience.
The wealth management industry is rapidly changing and JPMorgan Chase is transforming our U.S. wealth management business to accelerate growth. We are looking for a talented quantitative Vice President to help inform our lead and referral strategy across the US Wealth Management (USWM) business unit that includes Chase Wealth Management, JP Morgan Advisors, and our Online Investing digital platforms. Reporting to the USWM Leads Analytics Manager, this role will be central in building a scalable, sustainable data driven process that delivers acquisition and deepening opportunities to enable growth within our branch-based and independent advisors' books of business.
This is a vital hands-on role so we're looking for exceptionally creative, ambitious, \"data curious\" thinkers who can help extract true business value from data. A typical day might include:

  • Partnering with key executives to establish a roadmap for enhancing the capabilities of our data-driven leads platform, including the volume, variety, and velocity of leads
  • Leading ideation and execution sessions with product teams, channel owners, practice management and client experience leaders to identify opportunities to enable timely, relevant conversations between Advisors and customers that driven new accounts or assets
  • Analyzing the entirety of the lead funnel from digital "hand raise" through triage and routing to an Advisor in order to diagnose friction points and identify opportunities to increase conversion
  • Developing an approach to prioritize leads for advisors based on value of the individual opportunity, urgency of the conversation, and client engagement patterns
  • Providing expertise as to how big data, machine learning, or business intelligence can be leveraged to understand different client / prospect personas
  • Leveraging knowledge of our current and future analytic needs to partner with Technology and Data Management to develop a roadmap for launching new customer data assets

You are a strong candidate if you:

  • Think of yourself as part quantitative analyst and part product owner with a passion for optimizing the tools that enable a workforce to effectively build client relationships
  • Have experience as a practicing data analyst in a field-based sales environment with demonstrated success delivering insights to CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Think R is more than a letter, PYTHON is more than a snake, and Java is more than an island or coffee bean; you have programming skills needed for both the computational aspects of big data as well as working with statistical models
  • Know when the "juice is worth the squeeze" - you stay abreast of new analytic techniques but can recognize and apply a more straightforward analytic approach when the question you are answering is less complex
  • Comfortably navigate hierarchy, culture and politics; you run meetings with grace and agility, ask the right questions, disagree without being disagreeable, and can flex your communication style with "business" and "technical" audiences
  • Have a strong presence, excellent presentation skills (both written and verbal), and low ego with the ability to deliver recommendations to multiple stakeholders and influence senior management

Bonus points if you:

  • Previously worked in a workforce analytics, sales performance analytics, or sales science organization
  • Are proficient with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Tableau, Shiny Dashboards)
  • Are trained in statistical principles including experimental design and analysis of variance, probability theory, and sampling theory; additional points if you have an advanced degree in Statistics or a related discipline
  • Have a strong grasp of big data disciplines, Agile (scrum) methodologies, and new technologies
  • Are a lifelong learner and hold a growth mindset; we welcome individuals who geek out on industry podcasts, stay abreast of cutting edge techniques, or participate in KDD and Kaggle competitions for "fun" and love to share what they are learning with the rest of the team
