Job Description
Do you love digging into data and finding solutions to complex problems? Join our Client Financial Analysis and Proposals (CFAP) department in Underwriting Analytics as a Senior Analyst, where you will be developing and maintaining expert knowledge of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace, pharmacy benefits management industry, CVS Health data warehouses and sales strategies. Here, you will be essential to gaining a better insight into a client's data and formulating a data-driven approach to forecast the projected utilization of members based on formulary, network, and other CVS sales strategies. As an analyst on the team some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyze and validating claims data for current and prospective clients
- Collaborate with our Underwriting partners to communicate data trends and anomalies to assist with their financial bids
- Access and manipulate large datasets using Excel, SAS(SQL/Teradata) and similar tools
- Provide ad-hoc analytics in support of various enterprise initiatives
- Assist in coordinating efforts across company teams that can include Specialty, Retail, Clinical Ops, IT/TI, Product Development, Finance FP&A, Trade, and Account Management to identify implementation of solutions
- Interact with others in a collaborative and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks
You will be critical in the process to retain and win new business with supporting CVS Health's enhanced pricing options by providing analytical insights to make more informed business decisions and meet the needs of the rapidly changing healthcare marketplace. To be successful, you will utilize your strong analytical expertise and advanced knowledge of data and statistical analysis. Your familiarity with pharmacy claims data will also be key.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of analytics experience analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing large data sets

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in prescription drug industry
* 1 year coding experience in SAS, SQL, Python, R
* Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets
* Experience in Microsoft Excel-based modeling
Education
* Bachelor's degree required
* Master's Degree preferred
* Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
