The Groups Program Manager will help to execute the overall strategy of the Anaplan Groups program in support of the larger mission and vision of the Anaplan Community. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team that creates and delivers award-winning experiences as part of a growing company with a supportive internal culture.

Working closely with the Anaplan Community team, this role will oversee the strategic and tactical components of the Anaplan Groups program, directly managing the elements necessary for program growth. Additionally, this role will work cross-functionally with other stakeholders of the Groups program as part of maintaining alignment on the program vision.

This role is based in San Francisco, CA, USA, but remote options are available.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the initial point of contact for the Groups program, and responding to requests for support, information, and training related to events, tools, processes, and the overall Groups program
  • Writing and distributing program information, including process guides, best practices, newsletters and emails, blogs, PowerPoint decks, and graphics.
  • Maintaining and improving processes critical for growing the Groups program, including those related to events and Leader/Member onboarding
  • Supporting the production and execution of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events, including advising on best practices, directing talent or other small teams, and managing technical equipment and processes
  • Hosting team calls or meetings
  • Representing the Groups program (and Community as a whole) at events and conferences
  • Other tasks/projects as required, including supporting the overall Community team


Skills and other requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience either on a team running a company’s User Group program or as a User Group Leader
  • Must be comfortable with maintaining direction independently and taking on new challenges
  • Must have proven experience with excellent presentation and communication skills written and verbal.
  • Experience putting together Value Proposition or Justification
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and presenting
  • Must have a valid U.S. passport (or be willing to acquire one) and be willing to travel internationally
  • Strong writing skills and familiarity with formatting and associated tools
  • Strong organizational and process skills
  • Moderate proficiency with web page layout, including HTML/CSS, required
  • Moderate proficiency with media production concepts and tools (e.g., cameras, audio equipment, production software) preferred
  • Moderate proficiency with image editing concepts and tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop) preferred
