TSA Personnel Analyst I (Candidate Security)

Chesapeake, VA

General Summary

Candidate Security provides support during multiple stages of the hiring process. The team prepares rosters of eligible candidates for background investigation work, initiates system access, and assist candidates to move through hiring process. The team takes a pro-active approach to identifying eligible candidates, utilizes quality control measures to ensure data integrity, and coordinates with the client and Field Recruitment & Hiring staff to identify and prioritize candidate populations. Core hours are Monday-Friday 7am - 6pm Eastern.

The Candidate Security team consists of three Analysts and works closely with the Forms team and other Recruitment & Hiring staff to ensure candidates move through he background investigation process as timely as possible. The Personnel Analyst I will reinforce the use of standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and quality. The Personnel Analyst I will report trends to identify and mitigate risks and propose changes to improve quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:
• Analyze candidate populations using system tools and Excel.
• Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new employees by initiating systems and responding to tickets.
• Receive inquiries from the client and Recruitment & Hiring staff. Coordinate responses with management to ensure clarity and accuracy of information.
• Support airport, field and candidates and providing tracking of candidates during Special Hiring Events.
• Assist in ways to optimize procedures
• Assist with the daily activities including required reports & rosters, tickets, and special projects.
• Ensure processes for protecting Personal Identifiable Information strictly followed
• Keep management informed on issues and problems
• Act as Point of Contact when the leadership team is not available.
• Research and report issues related to Recruitment and Hiring systems.
• Research and resolve candidate issues including system issues.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Job Aids, Reference manuals and Process Guides

Minimum Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent with 2-4 years data analysis experience
• Excellent analytical experience
• Experience in customer service is advantageous
• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of other MS Office software.
• Excellent professional communication (written and oral) abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet client needs, technology changes, and workload changes.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Relocation funding is not available for this position.

Desired Qualifications

  • Availability for evening and weekend hours if needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed to support hiring events.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of federal recruitment and hiring is a plus.

PhysicalDemands

Light office dutieswhich may include sitting for prolonged periods of time, viewing digitalscreens for prolonged periods of time, lifting up to 10 pounds, use of a deskor mobile phone, typing on a keyboard, writing with a pen, pencil, or stylus, etc.
