Job Description
The Treasury Analyst, Balance Sheet Analytics, is part of the Corporate Treasury department within Discover Financial Services which is responsible for managing the company’s financial resources with respect to capital management, liquidity management, short-term and long-term funding, balance sheet strategy, interest rate risk management, funds transfer pricing, rating agency and debt investor relations, and cash management.
Treasury Analyst will assist the Senior Manager, in providing funds transfer pricing guidance to all Lines of Business in Discover.
Responsibilities
Responsible for producing and developing funds transfer pricing for multiple lines of businesses.
Conducts a wide range of analysis that support Funds Transfer Pricing, Funding Analytics, and Balance Sheet Analysis.
Builds relationships with cross-functional business partners across Pricing and Analytics, Line of Business Finance and Enterprise Risk and Model Risk
Supports process enhancements including process improvements, optimization and process change management initiatives related to corporate and Treasury initiatives
Responsible for the accuracy, reasonableness, and constancy of data and assumptions used for funds transfer pricing and balance sheet analysis.
Manages regulatory and strategic requirements designed to mitigate risk through the economic cycle.
Assists with the development of communications to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Generates reports and provides updates to management.
Performs analyses that support Treasury decisions.
Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in Financial Analysis and/or Banking
Familiarity with programming and data analytics
Experience using PowerPoint and Excel
