Infosys is seeking a Hadoop Administrator with experience in Big Data Administration and Engineering activities on multiple Hadoop, Kafka, Hbase and Spark clusters. The position will primarily be responsible interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the support ecosystem including Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating artifacts related to the support function. You will lead validation for all types of support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Foster City, CA or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US and Canada.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
• At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology
• 2+ years of experience in Big Data platform - including Spark, Scala, Python, Hive and Hadoop experience.
• 2+ years of experience in tools administration and support of Big Data platform using Cloudera and tools like Python, Spark, Scala, Splunk etc.
• U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required, we are not able to sponsor at this time

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in end-to-end implementation of projects using Big Data platform and tools.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development life cycle.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance/support projects.
• Experience in performing Big Data Administration and Engineering activities on multiple Hadoop, Kafka, Hbase and Spark clusters
• Experience of working on Performance Tuning and Increasing Operational efficiency on a continuous basis
• Monitor health of the platforms ,Generate Performance Reports and Monitor and provide continuous improvements
• Experience of working closely with development, engineering and operation teams, jointly work on key deliverables ensuring production scalability and stability
• Have managed Big Data Production environment which includes Hadoop( HDFS and YARN), Hive, Spark, Livy, SOLR, Oozie, Kafka, Airflow,Nifi, Hbase etc
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Experience in Banking domain
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Have Performed optimization, debugging and capacity planning of a Big Data cluster
  Perform security remediation, automation and self heal as per the requirement
• Experience in monitoring tools like Nagios, Ganglia, Chef, Puppet and others
• Eperience with Hadoop Cluster Security implementation such as Kerberose, Knox & Sentry is preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to diverse teams namely, technical, business and management teams
• Experience managing team size of 2-3 would be a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
