The Opportunity

Delaware North is searching for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Information Technology (IT) team. In the role of Technical Business Analyst, you will act as an intermediary between technology project teams and business partners to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The Technical Business Analyst functions as the stakeholders' advocate by providing objective evidence that system and application requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project-level analysis, producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, agile stories, and use cases).
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technology to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, and implementations.
  • Gather business requirements, document functional requirements, use cases, user interface, application interface.
  • Deliver functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping.
  • Creating and maintaining business process flow diagrams.
  • Schedule and facilitate Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
  • Translate high-level requirements into user stories and detailed requirements.
  • Coordinate QA and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, computer science, and/or related experience.
  • Agile methodologies and principles; SAFe Certification, a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees.
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and problem resolution skills.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to deliver results with minimal assistance is a must.
  • Proven experience writing user stories.
  • Advanced skills in ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Travel:20%
  • Sporting venue experience highly desired
