Job Description About
The Capacity Governance and Transformation team are part of the global CIB Production Management and Infrastructure Services organization. The organization focuses on the client experience by ensuring our services perform as expected, restoring services quickly when there are problems, and transforming infrastructure to improve delivery, standardize products and reduce costs. The organization consists of a global, diverse workforce supporting our global business with a focus on continuous and proactive improvement. The 1,500-person organization manages over 1,700 applications which process trillions of dollars a day in payments and oversees applications that trade hundreds of billions of dollars working toward one clear mission - making stability a competitive advantage. Client obsession is at the heart of our operating model as well as embedding a culture of DevOps, SRE, automation and modern operating platforms and practices.
The role
As a member of the team you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure teams and CIB overall comply with regulatory control requirements related to capacity management. Our team directly interacts with colleagues across the CIB including senior leaders within our Application Development, Production Management, Risk and Control, and Global Infrastructure teams. We currently provide solutions to enable our users to establish capacity management review practices, respond to audit concerns, have access to reliable reporting capability, and to ensure they have sufficient capacity in their environments. We use analytics to help teams address capacity shortcomings or issues with internal reporting.
We are looking for a self-starter that will use their infrastructure, automation, data analytics, and application capacity understanding to drive program improvements, use case development, and work with technical teams to create features that enable proactive management. There are opportunities to improve data/reporting to align with customer requirements, drive system capabilities that can modernize capacity engineering. A long term objective for our team is to begin using business intelligence to identify potential issues/trends/anomalies so that our application teams can remove capacity constraints before they become an issue.
You will:

  • Respond to daily user requests and regular capacity management activities, such as generating and distributing reports.
  • Monitor application compliance regularly and partner with application contacts to remediate capacity concerns.
  • Use scripting knowledge to deliver and enhance automated reporting and email communications.
  • Analyze available data to identify concerns, gaps, and support application teams in proactive response and regulatory compliance
  • Support data extraction and reporting necessary for analytics, use case prioritization, audits and regulatory review.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reporting for the capacity management program
  • Maintain reference guides and how to information for our stakeholders to self-service capacity management and compliance.
  • Update and manage the capacity quarterly review process. Interact with firm wide team to ensure firm wide review process will meet CIB requirements.
  • Support teams and leadership in program and system onboarding efforts
  • Manage your workload in JIRA to ensure seamless communication with management on status and progress
