Job Summary


The Product Management team at Mineral delivers measurable business results by developing product solutions that meet market needs and company goals. The Business Analyst determines user needs for existing products and is a product owner in our agile process. As a Business Analyst, you’ll work with Engineering to define enhancements to our awesome products with input from Product Marketing, Customer Support and Sales to understand the needs of our customers and partners. You will help develop and execute a product delivery plan aligned with our strategic product roadmap and company’s goals.

You will:

  • Develop detailed, clear requirements and user stories/personas that can be used to create product specifications and architecture, documenting processes, and uncovering areas of improvement.
  • Clearly document and communicate results of business analysis to cross-functional teams and work with Engineering to develop product delivery plans.
  • Ensure product delivery is aligned with and on schedule with published roadmap plans.
  • Act as Scrum/Agile Product Owner for your projects including, proactively building, and maintaining well-groomed, estimated, and detailed backlog; working closely with UX/Dev/QA during the sprint cycle through standups, enhancement testing, production roll out, etc.
  • Write acceptance criteria for purposes of building test documentation
  • Analyze support cases and defects, verify defect fixes.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to all members of the scrum and cross-functional teams to deliver the value of current and future sprints.
  • Assist with research and market, customer, and partner insights to inform product definition and prioritization. Collect product feedback to ensure product meets client and partner needs.
  • Assist with usability testing and user acceptance testing to ensure we are developing awesome products.
  • Work with UX to ensure our products feature the next generation User Experience (UX).
  • Serve as a product functional expert; train customer support, customer success, sales, and other stakeholders on how to use features.
  • Assist in partnering with third party partners to integrate their solutions into our product ecosystem.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of software business analyst or operations experience.
  • Passion for the customer, both in terms of delivering awesome products and ways to solve big customer problems.
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to use data and metrics to support assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
  • Design thinking to transform product ideas into defined engineering requirements and determine key delivery milestones. Critical eye and client-facing experience for designing user experiences both from UI and API perspective.
  • Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Product Marketing, Marketing, Customer Support and Sales to build world-class SaaS software products or platforms.
  • Be able to easily communicate with engineers about various aspects of a SaaS system.
  • Possess excellent communication and persuasion skills as well as demonstrated success in building buy-in.
  • Experience with designing end to end customer experience, including interviewing and gathering feedback directly from customers.
  • Experience working with an engineering environment that uses agile/scrum methodology.
  • Strong project management skills: plan, set and manage to reasonable timelines, while delivering projects that align to the product strategy.

  • Preferred qualifications

  • HR or compliance technology domain knowledge desired.
  • Previous experience using: Atlassian Confluence/Jira tools
  • Previous experience using design and wireframing tools: Miro, Invision,and LucidCharts.
