Role Summary

The RAN Technical expert will work within the Operations team and will be responsible for 'deployment of O-RAN 4G/5G microservices based Network functions on AWS/Azure/VMWare platform besides Mavenir proprietary WebScale Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Installs, commissions, and integrates Mavenir Containerized 4G/5G RAN microservice based solution including CU, DU, CMS on AWS and VMWare platform besides Mavenir proprietary platform.
• Prepare essential documentation, including deployment layout and integration details (CIQ).
• Ensures end-to-end connectivity for the RAN solution with packet core. This includes Synchronization (PTP) and other OpenRAN interfaces (Control, User and & Management M-Plane).
• Perform deployment for RAN network functions on Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Provide root cause analysis, workarounds, and bug fixes for issues during integration phase.
• Provides technical support for Mavenir RAN solution deployment at customer location in production networks and in Mavenir lab.

Job Requirements

• B.Tech, B.S or M.S (Computer Science or a related technical field preferred) with AWS/Azure/VMWare certification.
• Thorough hands-on knowledge of LTE, CBRS FW, mMIMO and familiar with 5G architecture.
• Hands-on experience with new product introductions in lab and field with major Global service providers.
• 6+ years minimum experience in deployment of containerized microservices based RAN Network functions in Lab/production network.
• Knowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for 5G procedures.
• Strong experience and understanding of Kubernetes and Docker technologies.
• Experience in Linux systems administration in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
• Team player and seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with ability to thrive in a high pressure, mission-critical environment.

• Orchestration technologies - Kubernetes, OpenShift, TBD
• Containers - Docker
• OS - Linux variants
