Summary of the role:

A pivotal function in the healthy growth of our products is Product Analysis. A Product Analyst (PA) interfaces with Airport IT Product Management to understand a product strategy and commitments made to clients. Interpret these commitments and provide guidance to developers to plan tasks.

A PA also watches over the quality of product production by interacting with delivery organizations and clients to ensure proper deployment and usage of a product.

In this role you'll:

  • Analyze and understand business requirements received from Product Management B32:F39
  • Define Product Solution (with Dev) and communicate it PM, and Customers.
  • Document Functional Specifications (in form of FS docs, User Stories).
  • Create Functional User Stories under EPICs
  • Communicate and validate solution with DEV, scrum QA and PM.
  • Provide functional knowledge to Sales, Account Management, Development, Implementation & Support requests
  • Be Point of contact for R&D functional questions
  • Contribute to functional design
  • Participate in customer workshops when needed
  • Facilitate the gathering sizing's from DEV
  • Presentation of reqs at Refinement Meetings
  • Prioritize and organize sprint planning (product backlog is responsibility of PM)
  • Analysis of defects raised in UAT process
  • Contribute to product quality with QA team
  • Contribute to test strategy by reviewing strategy and providing recommendations to QA
  • Contribute to validation of scrum test plans, by reviewing and providing feedback on test strategy and test cases
  • Ensure test coverage by validating the completion of traceability matrix (responsibility of QA)
  • Ensure compliance of the delivered functionality and system integrity
  • Support customer UAT
  • Support - 3rd level Production Support - investigation of issues (SMC - BA - Dev), analysis and dispatch. Support during customer proof of concepts & demos where needed.
  • Amadeus Customer Service - Provide functional details to support ACS in documenting training materials, User Manuals, training guides.
  • Contribute to product demos to ACS and to a wider audience with major releases and upon request (collaboration with PM).
  • Contribute to Release presentations to ACS, to assist in troubleshooting new functionality.


About the ideal candidate:

  • Education: University degree (or equivalent) in IT Engineering and/or Marketing
  • Relevant Work Experience: 5 years' experience in supplying IT solutions to Airports and its operators are required. 3 years' experience as Product Manager or activities closely linked to Product Management are required
  • Business Understanding: A good understanding of current and future technologies used by Airports is needed such as Application Server, RDBMS, Web technologies, XML, JASON, data communication, localization.
  • Skills:
    • Computing: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
    • Languages: English
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
    • Specific Knowledge: Basic financial competencies. Functional expertise in Airport systems is required such as Contract Management, FIDS, EASE and Baggage handling, AODB and Resource Management.
