Summary of Role:

The Technical Business Analyst will support the needs of the data consolidation, technical documentation, data warehouse development, data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Understand the business objectives and the key stakeholders involved

Understand the business use cases

Document technical specs with the template provided

Review the technical specs with the business team and incorporate any feedback

Build the data dictionary as needed

Build the logical data model

Understand the data feed automation process and propose ways to automate through the MFT/API on the Matillion side

Understand/build the snowflake physical data model, if needed

Get the database model reviewed by the solution architect

Understand the E2E data flow from the source into Snowflake DWH

Understand the data dashboard reporting needs and the report layouts.

Build Qlik reports as needed by the business (if applicable)

Work with the solution architect to resolve any architectural issues

Work with the business teams/file owners to resolve any understanding on the incoming technical files and transfer mechanism

Participate in project meetings and follow up with appropriate stakeholders as needed

Perform functional/end user testing in development and staging as needed for both the database and the reports (Using Qlik, tableau)

Document the test cases and results

Work with the solution architect for the code migration (Dev -> QA -> Prod), if applicable

Work with the DWH Project PM, Program lead, solution architect to formulate the project release timelines

Give a walkthrough of the final product to business and secure signoff before moving to production

Familiarity with Snowflake and Matillion is a plus

Hands on experience working on IT development projects and a thorough understanding of the software methodology.

Education:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in technical documentation, creating data dictionary, entity relationship diagrams in a relational database development environment.

Experience in reports development using Qlik or Tableau
