Job Description
Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation.
This is a full-time position within our Company Animal Health Intelligence IT in the area of business solutions and technical support. This role will be based in North America and will collaborate with the AHI IT team globally to develop and support IT solutions that will enable the AHI business to continue to better utilize the global IT services. The immediate priority for this role will be to focus on the critical activities to support the business units and the technical teams within Biomark and IdentiGEN.
Primary Responsibilities
Under the leadership of AHI IT, this role will provide IT engineering and technical support for the global AHI IT team in some the following areas:

  • Engineer IT solutions to enable the business to best utilize the full range of IT services.
  • Provide support for AHI R&D / Tech Lab users using special configurations and setup that will be deployed globally.
  • Assist business with complicated application packaging requests and risk assessments.
  • Engineer IT solutions for remote AHI field users using various tools to support customers.
  • Provide engineering support as required for legacy infrastructure such as servers, network and applications.
  • Provide support for the shutdown of legacy infrastructure for AHI sites in North America.
  • Complete special projects at the Boise location for Biomark and Kansas for IdentiGEN as required.
  • Act as the lead IT representative to gain the voice of the customer to help enable IT solutions for the business.


Education

  • High School Diploma (Prefer Bachelors)


Qualifications

  • 5 + years in one of the following : technology engineering, system development or operations support.
  • Previous working experience with a wide range of IT technologies such as network, server, storage, cloud, database, applications, and desktop hardware/software.
  • Previous working experience utilizing one of the following: ITIL processes, Agile delivery or SDLC.
  • Previous working experience managing tasks and projects.
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience working with stakeholders with internal and external parties.
  • Experience in multicultural communication and solid presentation skills.
