TA Analytics Data Scientist
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a TA Analytics Data Scientist to join our Talent Acquisition Operations Team. In this role, you’ll directly partner with our Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and Corporate IT Systems Team.
The ideal candidate has experience building scalable reports and tools using large data sets across multiple subject areas. This individual has a strong analytics background, comprehensive businesss understanding, and is passionate about process improvement.
What You'll Do:
- Support TA for the Corporate Business Function by analyzing TA data, including headcount, turnover, candidate pipeline/activity, diversity, and workforce planning
- Act as an advisor by understanding business needs and applying business context, to scope data requests, drive insights, and recommending solutions to key business partners
- Tell the story for data visualizations and advanced analytics models, consulting on key insights and providing recommendations
- Conduct research through detailed analysis of historical data to identify opportunities throughout the business
- Build analytics that helps TA leaders make data driven decisions and predictive modeling
- Contribute to automating, standardizing and publishing key reports and interactive dashboards, using Tableau and Excel, to help disseminate data and insights to key leaders and other stakeholders
- Collaborate within the People Analytics team, Corporate IT Systems, TA, and the business to enhance reporting capabilities and support company-wide initiatives
- Identify and drive resolution of data quality issues
- Support TA and business leaders with ad-hoc data analysis or metric questions
- Seek out ways to improve future products or data needs across the TA function
- Conduct primary and secondary research and analysis of TA analytics and best practices to provide core insights to the TA leadership team
What You'll Need:
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Information Management or a related degree with analytical emphasis, or equivalent military experience
- 3+ years of applicable analysis and/or reporting experience for HR or related field
- Experience with applying machine learning techniques at scale and their tuning parameters (Neural Networks, Random Forest, Bayesian Models, K-Means Clustering) linear algorithms
- Advanced technical skills using Python, R, or other programming languages
- Strong proficiency in Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - prioritization, planning and task delegation
