Ardent is seeking a Systems Analyst to join our team.
This is a remote role.
This position is for a junior to mid-level Management Consultant/Data Analyst to join Ardent’s Data Science & Analytics practice, working on a contract for a the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). You will be helping CISA share data and intelligence with the private sector to protect the private and public sector from cybersecurity attacks.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Systems Analyst to help develop new methodologies for evaluating cybersecurity risks and how the government coordinates the national response to such risks. You will be a strong generalist who can be a:
- Management consultant: Self-starter who takes the initiative; creative problem-solver who can break down complex tasks into parts; likes business challenges, change, and learning new skills; be disciplined about managing requirements and time
- Program analyst: establish ‘Plan of Action & Milestones’ (POAM) to stand up new business functions; design performance metrics and evaluation methods for government cybersecurity and information sharing programs
- Systems thinker: understand ‘big picture’ and understand risks to a large enterprise---including social, political, and technical risks, public policy and technology; able to view complex problems from multiple perspectives and disciplines; able to ‘connect the dots’
- Become a Subject Matter Expert: intellectually curious and quick to learn and absorb large amounts of information from different domains
- Someone who can communicate well, verbally and in writing, to a diverse group of stakeholders from senior government and commercial executives to junior employees; discuss technical content to non-technical audiences
- Business analyst: perform requirements analysis to identify required tasks and their interrelationships and analyze customer/mission needs to determine functional requirements.
- Data analyst: strong data analysis skills (e.g., Excel, Tableau, GIS tools, graph databases); a ‘data journalist’ tenacious research skills; perform quantitative analysis on wide variety of use cases
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Able to pass CISA background check
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM, public policy, or social sciences
- 3+ years in consulting, tech industry, government, or military experience
- Effective Verbal and Written Communications Skills
- Ability to facilitate the resolution of technical challenges, especially when they involve negotiation between multiple business and technical stakeholders
- Ability to create visual models, such as work-flow diagrams or wireframe prototypes
- Ability to create clear and concise requirements documentation
- Ability to forge strong stakeholder relationships
- High attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize requirements and meet deadlines
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills
- BS in computer science, MIS, engineering, sciences, operations research, data science, statistics, applied math; or Master’s in similar or MBA
- Proficient in Tableau or other data visualization tool
- Proficient in coding with R, Python
- Familiar with AWS cloud solutions and products
- Cybersecurity subject matter expertise, CISSP a plus
- Existing Public Trust clearance a plus
- Willing to re-locate to DC metro area a plus
