Job Summary

Purpose and Scope:

Analyze, support/maintain, troubleshoot existing or proposed Aviation data systems. Use a multi-step process from systems investigation, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance to bring new or changed systems on-line.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Understand the aviation business, best practices, and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations.
2) Ability to analyze existing systems and work with contract and IT SME's on integration of data and dashboards for efficiencies and effectiveness.
3) Determine system/application updates and patches required and work with the contract team and IT to test, implement and train users on the changes.
4) Provide end user support on aviation software to include job aids, formal training and personal guidance.
5) Troubleshooting, analyzing with the contract team and IT to discover root cause of problems, and fix them.
6) Provide guidance and expertise in finding and implementing new efficiencies and effectiveness in the daily operational process using software tools.
7) Desired knowledge and experience with aviation software, such as P2K, AIMS, Teledyne AirFase, Electronic Flight Bags, SharePoint, SQL and Power BI for reporting.
7) Perform customer requirement analysis for existing or proposed systems to determine feasibility and objectives of requests.
8) Design or modify system and prepares reports, schedules, data requirements, security access rules and system constraints.
9) Write, debug and test programs and procedures.
10) Install system and train users on new or changed applications.
11) Study existing information systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems where appropriate.
12) Direct on-site user interface for program guidance, testing, systems analysis, and other system related tasks as needed.
13) Prepare detailed documented requirements for selected activities (i.e., data management, configuration management, program management, etc.)
14) May provide administrative support to project management staff in customer meetings, presentations, and briefings.
15) Maintain and establish a filing system for correspondence, project status report, and other technical documentation for tracking and inventory control.
16) Comply with Amentum hardware and software systems standards, security compliance and procedures.
17) May provide informal training in implementing software programs based on user requirements.
18) Assist in the preparation and production of technical reports, progress reports, data requirements and system constraints for technical presentations, meetings, and customer briefings.
19) Provide support in the development of technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
20) Liaison with "back-end" corporate/business unit Database management as required.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science and at least nine years of job-related experience or equivalent. May supervise support personnel as required. Background in Aviation operations highly desirable. Good written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
