PURPOSE

Develop and Implement Tools, Processes and Workflow Enhancements related to Commodity Forest Products and Supply Chain as a whole, to deliver increased efficiency and value across the organization. Supports directly the Forest Products Procurement Team and Critical Touch Points within Operations, while indirectly supporting various functional groups as liaison in strategic initiatives involving Supply Chain defined by the organization. Will drive efficiencies through use of technology, alignment and communication of key supply chain data, change management both within and outside Supply Chain and the Forest Products Group, and assuring seamless integration of the same efficiencies with other corporate work streams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the development and deployment of strategic initiatives related to tools, processes, workflow and efficiencies regarding Forest Products Procurement, Supply Chain, Cost, Demand Planning and Pricing across the organization.
  • Develops and Maintains Forest Products / Supply Chain Business Tools and Processes related to Key Strategic Initiatives and Business Needs:
  • DART / Microstrategies Platform.
  • Inbound Transportation Tracking.
  • ERP current state and future enhancements. Keeps Supply Chain tools and processes current with evolving core and legacy ERP's, server and database scenarios.
  • Multi ERP Commodity Replacement Cost Management.
  • Corporate Pricing Initiatives related to Supply Chain.
  • Identifies and drives best practices in interaction and communication between the Commodity Purchasing Team and other BFS functional groups.
  • Leads Change Management where necessary to drive best practices.
  • Interfaces with IT on system needs, enhancements and data collection/distribution, as related to product inventory, replenishment, commodity trading and transportation.
  • Interfaces with appropriate external resources to build efficiencies on data needs and communication, in alignment with their systems and needs, as related to product inventory, replenishment, commodity trading and transportation
  • Maintains and Supports Supply Chain Tools, Reporting and Workflow Processes.
  • Manage Rebate Data Processes for the commodity team.
  • Support Commodity Buyers on one off needs related to reporting, tools, processes and workflow enhancements.
  • Support Supply Chain Reload Business, workflow and processes.
  • Support Supply Chain Consignment programs and processes.
  • Develops and Maintains KPIs relevant to commodity forest products and distribution to management.
  • Develops and Maintains efficient record keeping platform for corporate commodity hedging activities. (lumber futures and forward pricing)



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, IT, Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in an analytical, decision support, or reporting role using SQL.



COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: advanced Excel including Power Pivot and Power Query, Access database and Excel forecast functions.
  • Proficient in VBA
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio and SQL query language
  • MicroStrategy BI Tools or other comparable BI Software Suite
  • Experience with PIM solutions, such as Enterworks or other
  • Ability to manage large data sets from multiple sources
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills related to change management
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Experience in multi-site distribution and dynamic supply chain
  • Commodities Trading or Procurement experience beneficial
  • Experience in development or use of dynamic transactional replenishment systems
  • Specific BFS ERP knowledge beneficial
