The Summer Analyst will support our portfolio management team, gain valuable experience in real estate finance and learn about venture strategy, asset management, debt optimization, cash management via forecasting and reporting on financial performance, valuation, and attribution. During the program, you will be exposed to senior leadership and executives across all Amherst businesses to fully understand how we operate.

  • Partner with Accounting, Asset Management, and Investor Relations to report and interpret monthly financial performance across 35,000+ homes in multiple funds

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial packages and variance analysis against budget and prior periods
  • Learn how to develop, maintain, and improve complex investment and fund-level models, ensuring accuracy
  • Develop an understanding of the annual budget and forward forecasts outlining performance for both cash flow and GAAP reporting
  • Assist with analysis on both past and future performance to inform investment decisions and optimize operational processes
  • Work on projects as assigned but also have strategic responsibility of certain functions and responsibilities of the team
