Job Summary
Supply Chain manages all aspect of procurement for the entire corporation. We provide the opportunity to be a part of a diverse team that purchases a wide range of capital, indirect and government funded products and services including IT, specialized equipment, facilities services and engineering, design, and construction. As the purchasing agent you will provide your experience and understanding of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement of direct/indirect goods and services.
This role is remote; however, the selected candidate will be required to pay for their own travel to the quarterly meetings at the El. Segundo, CA., office.
What You'll Be Doing
- You will administer strategic sourcing and procurement of direct goods and services for The Aerospace Corporation
- You will have previous experience and a good working knowledge of subcontracting under FAR guidelines utilizing diverse contract types such as T&M, Cost Type, FFP etc.
- You will evaluate and improve sourcing activities, analyzing current suppliers and cost
- You will complete formal market analysis to investigate market behaviors, trends and influences on the category requirement
- Identify the best contract approach, pricing model, and category management governance
- You will lead RFI's, RFP's, RFQs, RFS's, supplier/source selection, negotiation and awarding best value
- You will evaluate current need, forecast product and services demands for assigned contracts
- You will implement procedures to continuously evaluate suppliers, costs and deliverability
- You will document the procurement package in accordance with company policies and procedures
- You will administer and lead post-award supplier management/administration, including SRM, continuous improvement / transformation /innovation as required
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements Level III:
- Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited programin Business Administration or related field
- Typically, 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience subcontracting under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle
- Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework
- Project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules
- Financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness
- Ability to pay for own travel to El. Segundo, CA., office for quarterly meetings
- This position may requiretheability to obtain and maintain a securityclearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
Minimum Requirements Level IV:
- Bachelor's degreefrom an accredited programin Business Administration or related field
- Typically, 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience subcontracting under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle
- Technical leadership and contractual competencies to form strategies to construct and execute contractual activities utilizing various contracting types that are developed based on the need of each organization
- Experience establishing/developing appropriately scaled SRM framework
- Advanced Project management skills to build, manage, and meet effective procurement schedules
- Advanced financial acumen and analytical skills required to construct pricing strategies/exhibits, conduct bid evaluation, and justify pricing reasonableness
- This position may requiretheability to obtain and maintain a securityclearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
