The Strategy & Sales Analyst will be responsible for managing custom pitch materials for strategic partnerships, building transaction models, and supporting the development of our retailer partner network strategy. The individual will work collaboratively across Product, Technology, Strategy, Operations, and Finance functions to incorporate multiple perspectives in our most critical internal and external discussions. This individual will be responsible for developing high-profile presentations and managing discussions with the Takeoff Senior Leadership Team and the leadership teams of some of our partners (e.g., Albertsons, Wakefern). For example, this individual will build custom content for customer pitches throughout the sales lifecycle, content including but not limited to introductory meetings, c-suite discussions, and responses to RFI/RFPs.


It is imperative for the individual to develop all content with an analytical and strategic mindset – all while mastering creative yet structured storylines. Over time and as relevant, this individual may also develop externally-facing materials for strategic partnerships and other industry collaborations. In the large majority of these external-facing discussions, this individual will have access to problem solving time directly with our CEO, CFO, CTO, and Chief Innovation Officer, serving as the point person to deliver well-prepared materials for mission-critical meetings. 


Please note that although we are remote at the moment, this individual must be located in the Greater Boston / MA area. Once we have determined a new hybrid model, we may want and need this person to commute to our Waltham location to be close to the rest of the finance and corporate strategy team.

This is exciting because you will have the chance to:

  • Interface significantly with the Takeoff Senior Leadership Team (CEO, CFO, CTO, and Chief Innovation Officer) and the leadership teams of our partners 
  • Work cross-functionally across Product, Technology, Strategy, Growth, Operations, and Finance
  • Work closely with account managers, the VP of Finance, and other leaders to build and execute custom customer pitch materials, strategic partnerships, transaction modeling, and network strategy
  • Serve as the primary liaison between multiple groups, such as finance, sales, strategy, legal, and operations to help facilitate the deal/sales response process
  • Become a trusted advisor to the Sales & Finance teams, collaborating on pricing, product, and positioning for non-standard transactions
  • Perform and leverage data-driven analyses to support and develop business strategy and decision making
  • Work with subject matter specialists across the team and research platforms to analyze current industry trends, expand product and customer vertical opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations 

The experience you will bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Quantitative Analysis and Financial Modeling proficiency
  • A quick learner that enjoys tackling open-ended problems
  • Thrives in a results-driven, fast-paced, innovative work environment
  • Energized by ownership of problems end-to-end and trying new things 2-3 years’ experience in a sales operations, revenue management, banking / finance or strategy consulting role (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) 
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial setting with the ability to take initiative and work well cross-functionally, building meaningful business relationships along the way
  • Experience shifting priorities on the fly and being OK to dive into the unknown and uncharted waters
