Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Buyer/Analyst

Toast's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team is looking for an motivated analyst to support Procurement, Business Teams and Accounts Payable through requisition creation assistance, purchase order management, invoice match process, exception process review, and vendor management, as well as administration of request for quotes and proposals in order to obtain products and services in a timely, risk adverse manner. This individual will also be responsible for generating spend analytics as needed and assisting Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Managers in the purchase execution for technology needs across Toast.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Ownership and management of punch out vendor programs and process, including program administration, metrics and reporting, invoice management, catalog management, issue escalation and resolution
- Manage AP invoice upload for specific vendors (i.e., FedEx)
- Purchase order management (change order, close, reporting), and serve as backup for requisition and PO creation
- Develop relationships with technology teams in order to understand needs and communicate purchase process
- Support Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Managers with spend/data analysis as requested
- RFP Support
- Assist with the coordination, development and management the RFP/RFI process
- Assist with the analysis, evaluation of proposals and recommendations by the RFP team
- Relationship Management
- Work with vendors and internal clients to identify and research problems relevant to purchase orders and invoicing
- Work towards quality, service, and vendor accountability
- Support vendor management continuous improvements
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, plus 2+ years professional experience
- Knowledge & understanding of procure-to-pay cycle
- Attention to detail with purchase documentation (quote, SOW, requisition, purchase order)
- Proficiency with analyzing and reporting spend data
- Proficiency with Google Suite and ERP systems
- High level of comfort working within software tools and within large sets of financial data
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet aggressive deadlines
- Strong problem-solving techniques, ability to clearly communicate issues, status of negotiations and ideas to internal clients
