Job Description DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Use tools such as SQL/SAS, Teradata and Excel, to conduct complex interaction analysis of risk, behavior, and profitability to integrate strategic risk attributes into consumer credit risk strategies. Provide consistent framework to assess loss. Asses profitability dynamics associated with credit decisions in normal as well as stressed economic scenarios. Conduct scenario analysis to optimize credit risk strategy outcomes, such as evaluation of new sources of data for incremental risk separation on top of traditional risk models. Utilize knowledge of risk modeling, profitability modeling, and relevant statistical knowledge to develop risk analysis that is consistent with the firm's risk appetite framework. Partner closely with other strategy areas of Risk, Marketing, IT, and Finance to ensure error-free implementation of risk decisions. Proactively recognize opportunities and enhancements to existing strategies to improve overall financial performance, customer experience and execution quality. Develop strong communications to various business partners as well as senior leaders that describe findings and recommendations on both layperson and technical levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's Degree in Information System Technologies, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or other relevant quantitative field or related field of study plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year of experience as a Strategic Analytics Analyst, Data or Strategy Analyst, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience in lieu of the Master's degree and one (1) year of experience.
Skills Required: This position requires experience in the following: programming and data mining using SQL, SAS or equivalent analytic tool; statistical modeling; performing strategy development using Test and Control framework; consumer lending; credit risk management principles; making presentations to multiple levels of management; and implementing systemic strategy adjustments.
