Job Summary:
As a Data Solution Architect- you will define and implement best-in-class solution design that will meet our business needs. The solution architect's responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications- assessing the current data sources/models in place and to identify areas in need of improvement- and overseeing data engineering teams. You should also be able to regularly update the company on any developments in common data models.
As a successful candidate- you are results-driven and bring strong data modelling background and problem-solving skills. You are a person of high integrity- who believes in challenging the status quo when needed- while always first seeking to understand.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration- productivity- and knowledge sharing. Obtains project approval and funding. Identify stakeholders and forms project team. Conduct pilot and recommends go/no-go decision. Verify software solutions meet production acceptance standards.
  • Provide expert level support services for the most complex issues related to elevated from the Support Center and Technical Services groups. Troubleshoot and resolves chronic and catastrophic problems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of architecture- capabilities- implementation requirements- integrations- and future roadmaps.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate between business units- enterprise architecture- operations- and security on the development and implementation of solutions that meet operational and compliance standards while meeting relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Works closely with project managers and developers to implement reliable- manageable- and secure solutions for internal and external connections.
  • Identifies opportunities to automate or improve existing processes.
  • Understands and complies with IT and IS policies and procedures- especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established client service levels.
  • Maintain consistent- quality documentation including SOP and runbook documentation to meet ongoing operations and business continuity requirements
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


WHO YOU ARE:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology- software engineering- computer science- or related field.
  • Seasoned big data solutions architect .
  • Hands-on experience with data architecting- data mining- large-scale data modeling- and business requirements gathering/analysis
  • Efficient communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.


Technical Skills and Competencies:

  • Must be passionate about technology transformations
  • 5+ years of experience in data modelling and architecture
  • Experience with Azure Data Lake- Analytics- and other related services like ADLS Gen2- Azure Functions- Azure Databricks- Azure Data Factory- EventHub- Stream Analytics- Data Explorer- Synapse Analytics/SQL DW
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT Architecture and process designing- the experience of implementation and performance tuning of mappings/jobs/transformations
  • Excellent Python/Scala and Spark skills
  • Predictive analytics: R- Azure Machine Learning

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
We believe our office environment fuels our collaboration, connection & community as an organization and allows our employees to grow toward greatness. We also believe providing a more flexible and agile model is essential in today's workplace. A majority of our office-based employees will be able to work remotely for up to two days each week. Additionally, employees who are subject to this hybrid model will be eligible to work from anywhere for up to six weeks in a rolling 12-month period (in maximum two-week increments and according to benefits and tax guidelines). Some jobs may be required to be performed fully in office depending on the role's responsibilities and requirements.
Base Salary Range: $110,200.00 - $137,800.00
