We're looking for an experienced data scientist to help unlock the full power of our ecosystem of offerings by increasing the connectivity and customer engagement across Intuit's suite of products. By helping us get the right customer to the right product at the right time, this role will play a critical element in building data solutions to ensure our customers maximally benefit from all Intuit has to offer.
What you'll bring
- BS, MS, or PhD in an appropriate technology field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Operations Research, etc.)
- Proficiency with relational database querying languages (e.g., SQL) and advanced statistical analysis/programming languages (e.g., Python or R)
- 5+ years of experience with building and applying data mining algorithms and statistical modeling techniques such as clustering, classification, regression, decision trees, neural nets, support vector machines, anomaly detection, recommender systems, sequential pattern discovery, and text mining
- Experience with experimentation, including conducting and analyzing A/B tests with various applied statistical techniques as well as making confident data-driven recommendations based on experiment results, and communicating these to stakeholders with various levels of technical knowledge
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed, demonstrated ability to tackle ambiguous problems, innovate and bias toward action in fast-paced environments
How you will lead
- Quickly gain a deep understanding of Intuit's data, including data sources, architecture, and systems
- Work cross-functionally to define problem statement, create long term product vision, and build/apply machine learning models when appropriate
- Develop and deploy both real-time and batch machine learning models that help customers find other Intuit products that are most beneficial to their current financial position
- Effectively identify areas of opportunities for model improvement, iterate and deploy in parallel for proper controlled experimentation/ performance reads
- Influence others through data expertise, insights, and thoughtful recommendations
