Primary Responsibilities:
As a Sr Systems Management Analyst you will providing adequate support for all of the key operational intelligence tasks and delivering results with the highest possible quality and key initiative for RQS. In order to meet the SLAs and continuous delivery. The Sr systems management analyst is key to provide customer-centric deliveries in the prescribed time. You will monitors environment health and the facilitation of high severity incidents to restore the state of service availability and continuity. This function coordinates the processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs. Documents all problems (hardware, application, facility, etc.) and takes corrective action as required. Communicates in a timely and detailed manner the status of all activities which may impact user access or systems availability.

  • Notifies the business prior to any major system changes or repairs
  • Performs incident management, service restoration, and/or change verification activities
  • Utilize documentation, associated topologies, change activity, monitoring tools, and expertise to monitor and validate overall environment health providing higher-level support for support groups with respect to critical applications health
  • Perform manual application and portal testing to ensure systems are available and functioning as 'check-out' activities during post maintenance schedules
  • Help drive risk prevention, awareness, and team accountability, helping identify and raise awareness for incidents that may breach or may have incorrect Severity levels assigned
  • Monitors application traffic on backbone and suggest ways to optimize the data performance, make recommendations and to improve performance
  • Keeps management informed of all activities regarding issues or outage
  • Maintains software/configuration information on monitoring tools
  • Manage HIPPA, PHI, FTI
  • Support up to fifteen environments from testing through production applications in accordance with Systems Development Lifecyle
  • This is remote hybrid role

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of System Analysis - monitoring and troubleshooting applications
  • 3+ years in SQL/Database experience
  • 3+ years DevOps/Production Support Engineers- with Big Data (Hadoop, Hive) and Unix/Linux application support
  • 2+ years of experience with MAPR or other HADOOP implementations.
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Platform
  • 2+ years of experience with command line interface (CLI)
  • 2+ years of experience with Hbase


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2+ years of experience with ITIL ticketing service, preferably Service Now.
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Platform
  • ServiceNow Experience

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada/New York City residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
