As the Sr. Systems Management Analyst in Naviguard IT, you will be responsible for ensuring that we provide best in class support for our users. Naviguard is a mission-critical part of the UHC portfolio and has many upstream and downstream systems that it integrates with, which makes this role highly visible and highly important.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the support process
  • Apply software engineering and support patterns to solve problems
  • Debug application source code per specifications
  • Manipulate application test/production data as required
  • Help with the QA process when needed
  • Work with clients to resolve reported questions and production issues
  • Be an individual contributor (very hands on) as well as able to guide and mentor team members
  • Take ownership of issues as they arrive and complete within established SLA's
  • Track/Trend repeat issues and performance bottlenecks and engage appropriate scrum teams to create a solution.
  • Document lessons learned and keep Knowledge, Processes, Policy up to date
  • Coordinate operational and support readiness activities through use of policy/procedure
  • Identify and document knowledge articles required for self-support
  • Identify opportunities to automate common support tasks and implement a solution.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure on time execution

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (4+ years providing IT support)
  • Experience with UNET/TOPS and ORS
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environment with CI/CD focus
  • Proven partnering abilities across teams
  • Experience in relational databases, including MS SQL Server 2016+
  • Expertise in performance and scalability optimization
  • Experience with using DevOps tools like Splunk, ServiceNow, TFS, and Github


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in the software testing (Selenium, Rally, Automation), test automation, regression
  • Some experience in C# / .NET / Web development / Visual Studio / Angular 7+
  • Knowledge of automated IT configuration and deployment technologies such as Terraform, or other automation and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) frameworks
  • Experience with C360, DOC360, Talend, and Docusign

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
