Sr. Systems Analyst, IT Supply Chain (Remote)
Position Summary:
The Sr. Systems Analyst provides technical expertise related to various application teams. Works with cross functional teams to define technical requirements for new development and any support related changes. Designs and develops customization's, conversions, and interfaces as necessary. Creates diagrams and flows to represent system design for project or enhancement requirements. Develops implementation strategy. Accountable and Responsible for production support of applications in area of responsibility.
Essential Functions:
• Designs, develops, tests, correct, and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result.
• Clarifies technical requirements and influences decisions that lead to the right solutions.
• Provides estimates for work effort required.
• Designs new, and modifies existing, customization's, conversions, and interfaces as necessary.
• Accountable and creates all technical deliverables including technical design specifications, diagrams, flows, and documentation of all configuration changes
• Manages the source control repository for assigned applications.
• Works with QE teams to provide testing frameworks or conducts system testing as needed.
• Develops detailed system implementation plan.
• Develops prototypes and solutions.
• Works with Security and Operations team to ensure solution compliance.
• Works with internal and external vendor teams on all support/enhancement/project related activities.
• Designs and develops support fixes, small enhancements and coding for major projects.
• Develops components and creates packages to be promoted to production environment by Support/Ops teams.
• Provides testing support for defect fixes.
• Provides warranty period, and often post-warranty, production support for applications in area of responsibility.
• Assists the Project Manager in identifying and managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Develops or contributes to project deliverables, such as design documents.
• Complies with and demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for assigned projects and tasks.
• Supports the Project Manager in pre and post-implementation reviews and incorporating lessons learned into future work and standards.
• Provides input into design and architecture reviews.
• Works collaboratively with IT, business team members partners, and vendors to understand the architecture and design and as warranted submit change requests for system improvements and resolve the production issues.
• Troubleshoot production issues of different criticalities with appropriate urgency and maintain the application uptime as per defined SLAs.
• Perform incident resolution against established SLAs and ensure proper documentation (SOP) of the solution procedure.
• Manage service request queue monitor and fulfill business and product support requests
• Round the clock the commitment to maintain the application availability against business SLAs.
• Proactively identify, diagnose, take corrective action and resolve application system incidents and problems.
• Document, communicate and escalate technical issues, manage to resolution and articulate business impact.
• Comply with and help create/update policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures (SOP).
Minimum Education & Experience:
• College or university degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of Software Engineer/Developer or other similar technology position, which includes hands-on experience with production support, incident response, bug fixes major and minor enhancements
• More than 3 years of retail domain experience with experience with Manhattan Associates Distribution Order Management (DOM) Software. Including ATC, distributed selling, master data.
• More than 3 years of retail domain experience with experience with Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Software. Including implementation experience and familiarity with configuring waving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping modules.
• Experience with testing tools and testing methodology
• Experienced in technical design of major and minor enhancements, coding and testing the changes and deploying in production
Knowledge / Skills Requirements:
• Demonstrated proficiency with XML, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Scripting
• Experience in Java or equivalent object-oriented programming language
• Ability to learn new applications quickly, and support them in production.
• Ability to think on both broad and detailed levels
• Excellent analytical abilities. Demonstrated problem solving skills in complex system environment
• High tolerance for ambiguity matched with desire to organize it
• Strong verbal, written and communication and presentation skills
• Should be a team player, with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new programming languages and tools
• Deep technical knowledge of Manhattan Associates Distribution Order Management (DOM) Software. Including ATC, distributed selling, master data.
• Technical knowledge of Manhattan WMS, including integrations, ecommerce fulfillment, and Transportation (TE) for parcel shipping
Retail and eCommerce experience preferred
• Transplace TMS experience is a plus
• Logistyx or other parcel TMS experience is a plus
• Web methods experience is a plus
