Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Sr. People Analytics Business Partner to join our HR Operations Team. The position is based in Dania Beach, Florida and reporting to the Enterprise Analytics Executive Team. The Sr. People Analytics Business Partner is responsible for producing business-critical people insights which enable the HR organization to move faster and make better decisions through the successful delivery of analytics, reporting, and recommendations. This role will play an important part in driving Chewy’s people priorities forward while influencing the strategy and implementation of People Analytics in HR across the enterprise. This individual will need a mix of business analysis expertise, strategic thinking, data analysis, project management and executive presence. This role is an opportunity for a creative, self-starter to elevate the use of people data, and understand all aspects of what drives high performance at Chewy. Working closely with the members of the HR Leadership team, IT and other cross-functional stakeholders – you will focus on long- and short-term solutions converting data into actionable business insights within Customer Fulfillment. This includes accelerating time with stakeholder interactions, ad hoc reporting, statistical analysis, and automated visual insights.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and project manage insights, visual dashboards and people related products with the support of the team's business intelligence team
  • Manage business stakeholder expectations and ad hoc requests by translating business questions into technical expectations outlining product timelines and expectations by being tactical and strategic
  • Report key insights by identifying patterns, relationships, and outliers "connecting the dots" for HR leaders to take action
  • Improving stakeholder experience by removing data limitations and influencing IT with potential new system solutions
  • Take lead to proactively reach out across the business encouraging problem solving collaboration across the enterprise
  • Influence leaders on their KPI and measurement approach by linking data sources and business questions
  • Get scrappy answering critical business questions, but influence long term automated solutions providing leading insights
  • Develop data driven compelling business cases, epics and user stories which support and prioritize HR Analytics initiatives
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to develop the analytics strategic roadmap, product specifications, and develop tools which allow the ability to draw conclusion from data analysis to inform strategies, actions, and decision-making
  • Collaborate with members of HR to identify, standardize, and implement data & analytics solutions, including enhanced tools and process improvements
  • Work with IT partners to build and maintain the HR Datamart
  • Partner with the source system owners, and data management team to develop and implement Data Governance through partnering with key stakeholders

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, masters preferred
  • 5-7 years of working experience. Preferably working in HR analytics, data analytics and visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting
  • 1-3 years of project management
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective presentation skills
  • Proven ability to use data, analytics, and business knowledge to solve complex business problems
  • Ability to effectively engage and influence across multiple levels within the organization
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment (startup mentality)
  • Experience creating long term roadmaps and short-term tactical solutions for today
  • Experience working with technical teams
  • Proven track record of superior service delivery, building analytical expertise within an HR Function and change management in high-paced environment
  • Position may require travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SQL experience a plus
  • Advanced Excel skill, Tableau experience required and hands on experience with one or more BI platforms / visualization tools desired
  • System knowledge in Kronos, Greenhouse, Workday
  • Experience in text analytics or survey design
  • Experience in consulting or supply chain operations
