Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior People Analytics Manager to join our HR Operations Team. The position is based in Dania Beach, Florida and reporting to the Director, People Analytics. The Senior Manager People Analytics is responsible for producing business-critical people insights which enable Chewy to move faster and make better talent decisions through the successful delivery of analytics, reporting, and recommendations. This role will play an important part in driving Chewy’s people priorities forward while influencing the strategy and implementation of People Analytics in support of our largest team member population. This individual will need a mix of business analysis expertise, strategic thinking, data analysis, project management and executive presence. This role is an opportunity for a creative, self-starter to elevate the use of people data, and understand all aspects of what drives high performance at Chewy. Working closely with the Vice President of HR, members of the HR Leadership team, IT and other cross-functional stakeholders – you will focus on converting data and analysis to action.

What You'll Do:

  • Works closely with the Director, People Analytics to develop and implement the HR Analytics Strategy to increase use of HR data and insights to inform workplace decisions, empower our leaders, and drive organizational performance in our Fulfillment Centers
  • Oversee the development of compelling workforce stories and actionable insights through HR business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Manage people metrics and creation of materials for the Executive Team and HR Leadership team, identifying key trends behind people data
  • Support the future state of HR Analytics at Chewy including the development and delivery of our multi-year roadmap
  • Develop data driven compelling business cases, epics and user stories which support and prioritize HR Analytics initiatives
  • Enhance our capability to analyze and “make sense” of large data sets and translate into a visually appealing manner that tells a story and helps make better data driven decisions
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional experts across all business units
  • Collaborate with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to develop the analytics strategic roadmap, product specifications, and develop tools which allow the ability to draw conclusion from data analysis to inform strategies, actions, and decision-making
  • Collaborate with members of HR to identify, standardize, and implement data & analytics solutions, including enhanced tools and process improvements
  • Work with IT partners to build and maintain the HR Datamart
  • Partner with the source system owners, and data management team to develop and implement Data Governance through partnering with key stakeholders

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, masters preferred
  • 5-7 years of working experience. Preferably working in HR analytics, data analytics and visualization, business intelligence, or analytical consulting
  • Proven ability to use data, analytics, and business knowledge to solve complex business problems
  • Experience translating strategic vision into actionable plans and make decisions with incomplete or imperfect information
  • Experienced working in a continuous improvement framework
  • Experience creating long term roadmaps, but developing a compelling, practical approach to how we get there starting tomorrow
  • Ability to effectively engage and influence wide range of leaders in the development of solutions for Chewy’s most critical business initiatives
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective presentation skills
  • Proven track record of superior service delivery, building analytical expertise within an HR Function and change management in high-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skill, Tableau experience required and hands on experience with one or more BI platforms / visualization tools desired
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Position may require travel
