We’re looking for a talented Senior Manager, Decision Science to join our exceptional team, help us continue our rapid growth, and create a better way forward for our customers. The Credit team at Fundbox owns underwriting, pricing, loan performance and collections and has direct customer-level P&L responsibility. The team is responsible for driving profitability by making important business decisions. In this role on the Credit team, you will have the opportunity to drive the team’s agenda, in addition to developing high impact recommendations that drive business value.
As a leader in the Credit team at Fundbox, you will use various computing and machine learning technologies to unlock the big opportunities that help small businesses thrive and grow.
In this role, you will:
- Build account level valuation models to predict lifetime value of users. Model development will include all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation
- Partner with a cross-functional team of credit analysts, and product managers to deliver products that drive the business forward
- Develop an in-depth understanding of account level valuations to optimize policies
- Translate business needs into actionable insights and implement
- Leverage a broad stack of technologies — Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more to reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of numeric and textual data
- Help in hiring, coaching, developing and mentoring decision science talent at Fundbox
You should have:
- At least 4 years of relevant work experience in building and validating models, ideally in a Financial Services or a high growth Fintech firm
- Expertise in modeling techniques such as clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning.
- Ability to perform analysis with high degree of autonomy and accuracy
- Strong sense of ownership and business understanding
- Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
- Demonstrated skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
