Who you are:

You are known as the go-to for all things in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux space. When someone needs an install, configuration, or maintenance of a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server, you are #1 on the speed dial. Oh, and the Intersystems Cache Servers (and even throw in Microsoft SQL Server too). You work well with the team of developers and system admins to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot client server aps.

What you'll do:
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers.
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain Intersystems Cache Servers.
  • Backup and restore databases using native and third-party tools
  • Monitor, tune, and administer Cache databases.
  • Utilize Windows Server, Active Directory, and client server connectivity concepts in conjunction with DBMS tasks to administer data warehouses and large databases
  • Review SQL code used in writing ad-hoc queries, stored procedures, and database maintenance scripts and recommends appropriate changes to improve the quality, reliability and the performance of the code

What you bring:
  • Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and client server connectivity concepts in conjunction with DBMS tasks
  • Strong knowledge of DBMS disaster recovery concepts
  • Scripting experience (PERL, Python, M language, etc - BASH strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with Git and Satellite
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field coupled with up to 4 years' experience as a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) administrator. OR an Associate's Degree in a related technical field with up to 5 years' experience in RDBMS administration OR at least 6 years' experience in RDBMS administration

  • Current ODBA Certification or ability to obtain ODBA certification within one year (paid for by us)
  • Cogito Certification preferred
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Certification strongly preferred.
  • MCDBA/MCITP preferred
