We are looking for a Sr. Data Engineer to help make all this possible.

• Perform data ingestion and harmonization for all product data sources from source system into Flexe’s Google Cloud Platform database (GBQ). This includes verifying the accuracy and quality of data, performing routine data cleansing, transforming data into usable forms and setting up and maintaining data loads at regular cadence per SLA into an integrated data mart.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining a set of curated master product data in the integrated data mart for use by Business Analytics, Operations, Finance and other downstream data users.
• Enrich the raw product data by building out modeled dimensions and facts in the integrated data mart.
• Collaborate closely with internal data users/stakeholders such as Business Analytics, Operations, Sales and Finance to understand the downstream use cases of product data so that the curated master product data meet the requirements.
• Align the roadmap and plan for product data with non-product data development and Business Analytics roadmap.

What we’re looking for:

• Fluency in SQL, experience working with relational databases, and familiarity with a variety of databases. 
• Familiarity with Cloud Platform (Data, Services, Scheduler, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Experience with some object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• A history of team oriented development and a drive to continuously learn.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience.
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud services and cloud SQL in one or more of the 3 major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
