The Senior Data Analyst for Supply Chain primarily focuses on projects and data discovery. They work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to understand the request requirements, do analyses, and interpret the results to collaborate on conclusions and actions. In some instances, projects will require expertise to derive their own project requirements and expand the analyses into deeper learnings.

Projects will center around descriptive analyses with forecasting potential. This role will likely to be consulted for more predictive and prescriptive projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain business stakeholders to understand large scale business initiatives. Initial analysis to inform requirements and ensure full picture. Model, validate, and productionalize results then present findings stakeholders and walk through continued interpretations from automation.
  • Continuous data exploration of internal and external data sources, working with data engineer(s) to ingest into our datalake, validate/cleanse, and stage for analysis purposes.
  • Balance multiple, quick turnaround responses to adhoc analysis that is also thoroughly validated and answers immediate business needs.
  • Evangelize data and tools that increase organizational access to data and adhoc capabilities to help business stakeholders to draw conclusions and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Participate in one-on-ones, lunch and learns, and demonstrations on analytical tools and/or concepts.
  • Collaborate with other analytics functions around the organization including the Analytics COE, Web Analytics, and other regional/brand specific teams to maintain consistency and accuracy for CSC Analytics and staying abreast of new tools, algorithms, and methodologies that may be applicable to business analytics teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 5-8 years of professional experience and mastery of relevant technical or business skills required to accomplish the job. Supply Chain Operations, Business Analytics, Finance, or Mathematics preferred. MBA and analytics certificates beneficial.
  • Skilled in SQL, Power BI, Python/R/Scala, ETL, Azure datalake and data architecture
  • Advanced knowledge within Supply Chain Management and related areas and experience with multiple functional disciplines. Specialized knowledge of industry standards and practices for projects and initiatives.
  • Requires the application of theoretical knowledge, typically gained through formal education or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts of a defined profession.


LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY

No supervisory responsibility. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with manageable risks and resource requirements. May contribute input to the performance review of other team members.

  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. May provide process and subject matter advice.
  • Work performed will have impact on cross-functional projects beyond the department.


JOB CONDITIONS

Operates in a typical office environment, routinely uses computer and other standard office equipment.

Generally sedentary for prolonged periods, may occasionally require ability to move about or adjust/move items weighing up to 10 lbs. in all directions. Constantly requires ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
