Candidates should be at ease analyzing and deriving actionable insights from data, have strong SQL skills, experience with Looker, Tableau, Excel, and be comfortable communicating results. Experience with incremental lift calculation and setting up pre/post and test & control analyses in a digital landscape is ideal.
Responsibilities:

  • Become an expert on user-level data sources at Yahoo and create custom queries using SQL to pull data from them
  • Partner with data engineering to spec complex data pulls
  • Analyze raw data in tools like Tableau and Excel, and visualize findings in a way that effectively answers underlying business questions
  • Distill all metrics from statistically significant deviations that will impact reach, retention, and/or revenue metrics
  • Investigate data and monitor data quality-- you have a knack for spotting red flags in data
  • Create dashboards and reports that provide analysis and commentary, explaining product, marketing, and business trends
  • Effectively present findings to department stakeholders

  • Strong SQL skills
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables
  • Proficiency in strategically using data to achieve insights and goals, and ability to communicate the results of data analysis through data visualization and verbal presentation
  • Demonstrated use of analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to drive decisions
