PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Sr. Business Analyst in the Strategic Vendor Management Office (SVMO) is responsible for supporting the Sr. Manager of Ecosystem Management with the strategy and oversight of a multi-provider ecosystem in the Strategic Partnering Program (SPP) for IT application maintenance and support services.
Responsibilities includes analyzing strategic opportunities to expand, contract, and bring new scope/partners into the ecosystem. This role will require attention to detail and analytical skills to analyze data, trends, internal/industry reports, benchmarking, and SPP contractual elements to drive solutioning and strategy that meet the evolving needs of the IT Environment. This role will require thought leadership to drive process optimization and efficiency within current processes.
This role reports through the Office of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) which is charged with leading the IT transformation and building and organization that ensures the standardization of processes and tools and enables the effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions to our business partners. The Strategic Vendor Management Office (SVMO) within the OCIO plays an instrumental role in driving value to IT by leveraging external expertise and scale to provide competitively priced, high quality IT services within a risk managed environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Analytics and Solutioning (30%)
- Conduct cost analysis by coordinating inputs across stakeholders both in competitive SPP service provider selections and negotiation support
- Analyze SPP contract and terms and conditions to support strategic opportunities.
- Analyze trends and provide insights on SPP spend and Innovation impacts
- Provide insights on market analyses, benchmarking studies, and industry practices
- Coordinate across SVMO functions to analyze trends indicative of areas that need to be addressed
Support of Key Business Processes: (25%)
- Coordinate requirements across key stakeholders (IT, Supply, SVMO) to support new opportunities to expand or contract the program or ecosystem.
- Develop communications, presentations, and analyses in support of Ecosystem Manager
- Understand business processes and provide guidance for end users
- Review/analyze contract changes to ensure adherence with Strategic Partner contracts
Innovation (25%)
- Monitor Innovation Program and drive process adherence between SPP Partners and Business Stakeholders to promote effective use of Innovation tools/processes for most optimal value
- Coordinate all partner preparations and support execution of showcase/learning series
- Coordinate, identify and execute on opportunities for continuous improvement of Innovation tool and process
- Support the identification and execution of areas of opportunity to automate and innovate with SVMO
Performance Tracking and Assessment of Financial Impacts (20%):
- Work collaboratively with IT SVMO Strategic Manager on performance measures with related financial tracking.
- Work in conjunction with internal organizations to ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to provide financial information as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance, Information Technology) and 5-8 years related business experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to retrieve and analyze data in support of business needs
- Proficiency with standard Microsoft software applications (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate level experience with specialized business technologies (e.g. Power BI, Splunk)
- Ability to provide in-depth analysis analytical and statistical problem solving, financial and business analysis
- Help other team member learn practices related to vendor management
- Customer driven with excellent oral and written communications skills and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis) benchmarking and compliance. Ability to analyze organizational data and complex problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action
- Tech Savvy - Eager and able to leverage technology to solve business problems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated ability to apply strategic and critical thinking to frame ambiguous situations and problem solving
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to translate analysis into key messages
- Adaptable to a constantly changing environment
- Proficiency with data analysis in Microsoft Excel, Office 365 tools with an emphasis on PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Ability to work independently and with remote teams
