Sr. Business Analyst
TITLE: Sr. Business Analyst
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
JOB SUMMARY: Assist project execution team in various capacities through all stages of the software development cycle. Perform requirement elicitation for project initiatives. Gather, refine, and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, and potential risks or issues. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured technical specifications and technical design documents. Prepare accurate estimates for development of software through technical specifications and development efforts. Conduct feasibility studies to assess cost, benefit, efficiency, and technical viability of solutions to business problems. Provide technical solutions to meet end-user needs for applications and technologies under the call center technology support portfolio, including Enterprise Telephony Solution (ETS) Studio, Quality Monitoring System (QMS), Call Volume Allocator (CVA), AppBar, SMART, and CorePortal. Analyze business partners' operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions. Establish specifications and objectives based on business requirements and cost effectiveness. Collaborate with management in systems development and design and provide recommendations to management personnel. Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for IT and vendors. Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business units, IT, and vendors from initial requirements to final implementation. Assist in business process redesign and documentation for new technology. Document API integrations using frameworks and methodologies to assess, migrate, and transform data and document workflow to meet deliverables and maintain integration requirements. Utilize SDLC Framework, including Agile methodology to write end-user stories, oversee scrum sessions, and prioritize backlog. Utilize Waterfall SDLC Framework to document BRD's, FRD's, and use case documents. Work with database concepts, including SQL queries, querying software, spreadsheets, and data mining. Work with cable services and their associated transport technology. Apply mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) standards and practices. Perform Requirement Analysis and Documentation to understand and analyze gaps between existing business process and future business process to conduct strategic planning and to simplify complex business solutions.
EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or a related field. Must have 4 years of experience documenting API integrations using frameworks and methodologies to assess, migrate, and transform data; documenting workflow to meet deliverables and maintain integration requirements; utilizing SDLC Framework, including Agile methodology to write end-user stories, oversee scrum sessions, and prioritize backlog; utilizing Waterfall SDLC Framework to document BRD's, FRD's, and use case documents; and working with database concepts, including SQL queries, querying software, spreadsheets, and data mining.
