Current Need

We are recruiting for a Sr. Business Analyst, P2P Supply Chain Planning IT Applications, critical role for USP business unit for the SCORE demand planning & replenishment application. This is a critical application for USP, and this role will be a key partner for the business stakeholders in managing business expectations, service levels, and a key liaison with the business around portfolio priorities. The role will also be a key partner for work collaboratively with IT Architects, Developers, Quality Assurance and Service Provider Outside workers. In addition, role is responsible for partnering with the SAP, IBP, HANA, Integrations, Project Manager / Scrum Masters, IT & business teams on road mapping, business requirements elicitation, and solution design.

Position Description

  • Core member of Supply Chain Planning IT applications development team responsible for delivery of new functionality to support the end-to-end SCP business process
  • In partnership with other team members, oversees the design, development, and test (QA) functionality that address business functional requirements.
  • Confirms assumptions and the recommended approach with Architects, with Other Business SMEs, and Solution Managers.
  • Partners with other team members and McKesson IT stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and early life support of service changes.
  • Advise the business and help define optimal solutions for the combined US Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services business areas specific to FLU & Compass and integrated business process areas.
  • Responsible to lead key design activities, milestones, and lead consensus discussions/alignment with USP Manhattan Associate; SCORE Replenishment, Demand Planning application other Supply Chain Planning (MMS) business stakeholders
  • Advise the business and help define optimal solutions for the US Pharma SCORE, Compass, and FLU business units
  • Collaborate well with multiple teams across business unit and MT teams to define, design, test and execute solutions that meet business and technical service requirements
  • Partner with Portfolio Management, Architecture and Solution teams to develop technical service roadmaps, incorporating both current and future capabilities to meet customer needs using Cloud based Applications and other emerging technologies
  • Drive internal process maturity of the Solution organizations
  • Leverage consulting or other company process experience to better match potential vendor and MT technical offerings to emerging McKesson business problems and challenges


Key Responsibilities:
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system design weaknesses, drives business process re-engineering efforts with key business partners and other McKesson Technology solution teams
  • Responsible for scope related decisions and draws conclusions related to design needs and decisions throughout Agile PI phases
  • Conducts projects requiring specialized knowledge of IT development while contributing to the evolving business requirements.
  • Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
  • Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
  • Evaluates and selects from existing and emerging technologies to determine solutions.
  • Assist leadership in building out systems, architectures, and platforms.
  • Ensure that developed processes are repeatable and scalable.
  • Can work across solution teams to ensure proper system/data integration
  • Participates in collaborative system and data design sessions with the user community, technical architecture resources, and development resources.
  • Completes project activities on time and within budget, and proactively identifies and communicates issues that may jeopardize milestones or project budget to the Project Manager.
  • Guides and advises less-experienced Analysts, support other Business Analysts and Architects, on a project ensures the project are completing their deliverables of high quality and on-time.
  • Conducts interviews, fact-finding, and independent research to design creative, progressive IT solutions for business problems.
  • Serve as the principal resource to gather system requirements on IT development initiatives and projects for the Supply Chain Planning Applications
  • Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
  • Act as a liaison between business IT and MSP teams to define and document scope, requirements, and technical specifications within an agile framework
  • Conduct gap analysis, participate in solutioning discussions, support QA, Performance & UAT testing and engage with stakeholders to determine technology/system needs.
  • Ensures end-to-end traceability of requirements is complete. Competent to work at the highest technical capacity on most phases of the business systems analysis.
  • Contributes to the review of Test Planning and Test Execution strategies. Oversees the development of data models and interface design specifications
  • Documents, tracks, and resolves issues related to data quality. Contributes to the design and mapping of data conversion strategies.


Minimum Requirements.

Typically has 10+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills

5+ years' experience in RPG, ILE RPG, AS/400 and Demand / Fulfilment / Supply Chain modules

3+ years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition, and building systems solutions.

5+ years' experience in managing SCORE upgrades, OS/400, Aldon tools, and RPG queries

3+ years' experience doing Unit Test, supporting Quality Assurance Integration Test (Procure to Pay) and User Acceptance Test

Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain business process

Experience with SDLC and working with development team through the process

Experience with custom application delivery in an Agile framework

Additional knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience or knowledge on JD Edwards & SAP ECC (Logistics Module)
  • Experience in managing Sox controls and addressing audit questions is a big plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; timely communication with clear expectations. An active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influence
  • Ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
  • Highly adept at working collaboratively across multiple business and technical functions to achieve results


Education
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in computer science / Engineering or computer related degree
