Georgia Pacific's BI and Data Analytics group supporting key segments including Packaging & Cellulose and Building Products is looking for a Sr BI Solution Engineer to join our team. We are looking for entrepreneurial minded innovators and problem solvers who can help us further design and develop this service of exceptionally high value to our business, improve the BI and data capabilities and delivery of the team.

A successful candidate will bring advanced knowledge of best-in-class BI development methodologies, practices, architecture and technology breadth. You must be enthusiastically collaborative, passion for working on BI solutions, analyze data to answer business questions, value seeking, open to challenge and be challenged with new ideas and established approaches with an appetite for learning and innovation. Ideal candidate would have strong BI and data expertise and partner closely with the BI Manager to deliver successful BI solutions and business outcomes.
What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Design, develop, monitor and maintain/support the analytics, data and reporting solutions that enables the business to make and inform timely decisions
  • Develop knowledge expertise in the business and the Infor BI platform and data. Help manage platform solution, delivering ongoing capabilities of data and insights, develop knowledge expertise on platform and business across the team
  • Collaborate with the business to become a trusted partner in utilizing BI to make effective decisions, improve business outcomes and deliver higher value solutions
  • Help drive key architectural and solution outcomes for BI and other advanced analytics needs from the platform and oversee key solution deliverables
  • Sustain platform with high availability and usability. Ensure support cases are being tended to in a timely fashion and within established SLAs
  • Provide best practice, technical, process and business guidance along with coaching & mentoring of other BI developer


The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in BI, data, and analytics with hands on implementation & architecture, developing BI/technology strategies, roadmaps, standards in alignment with business objectives
  • At least 5 years' of experience in SQL Server BI including SQL server database and exposure to SSRS,SSIS, SSAS cubes
  • At least 5 years' experience in visualization tools, PowerBI strongly preferred
  • At least 3 years' experience in implementing multi-dimensional and/or tabular models, cubes, and data warehouses, data lakes
  • Experience with Git and VSTS


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics preferred
  • Experience in AWS native tools set - S3, Redshift, Aurora, DynamoDB, Lambda, Kinesis, Glue, R, Python or similar tools.
  • Experience working in agile scrum projects with remote teams spread across the globe
