The Opportunity

Report out on SmartAuction business performance. Work closely with sales, operations, and leadership to analyze emerging trends and drive business decisions.

  • Costa Mesa, CA
  • Plano, TX
  • Cranberry Township, PA / Pittsburgh, PA


The Work Itself

  • Develop reporting for automation, utilizing SAS or MS Access, for new requests
  • Create management reporting
  • True-up various rebate programs for dealers/groups
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to help drive incremental sales and revenue
  • Work with SmartAuction Sales, Operations and Leadership to implement decisions


The Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required (in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics or Computer Science).
  • 3+ years in a business analytics role preferably in Auto Lending or related fields
  • Comfortable with analyzing complex problems and working to implement new remarketing strategies
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Represents Ally in a professional and positive manner in all situations
  • Strong SAS experience preferred:
    • Experience with structured and unstructured data
    • Working knowledge in SAS Macro language
  • Strong MS Access experience preferred:
    • Writing SQL, connecting to ODBC sources
    • Working knowledge of VBA
  • Ability to work with large sets of data
  • Proficient working with the following preferred: SAS, Access, VBA, Power BI, Oracle, SQL server, etc.
