Description
Mid/Sr Level Database Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced Mid/Sr SQL Server Database Engineer in support of a large platform services enterprise hosting environment. This opportunity includes working with a large enterprise of systems supporting tens of thousands of systems and endpoints.
Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 to 5:00 PM core hours with occasional after hours' onsite work to support both a NIPR and SIPR environment.
Position Overview:
- Work with SQL Server\\database STIGs and mitigating vulnerabilities
- Operation and Maintenance of SQL Server 2014 - 2016
- Supporting SharePoint database servers
- Working with SQL Server Availability Groups and Windows Failover Cluster
- Performing deployments and upgrades supporting application developers
- Troubleshooting and resolving system outages and incidents.
- Creating documentation to include CRQ's, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Orders, Incidents and After Action Reviews
- Monitoring SQL Server backups
Required:
- This position requires an active DOD Top Secret clearance.
- Possess DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW established mandate prior to start of work - IAT Level II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP); IAT Level III is desirable (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH). Applicants not meeting this requirement will not be considered

Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or at least ten (10) years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum of six years of relevant IT work experience
- Past experience administering Windows and SQL Server systems
- Knowledge of backups, snapshots, and restores
- Experience of Group Policy, Registry, and Windows Server security
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.

Target salary range: \$125,001 - \$150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
