Primary Responsibilities

The Space Management Analyst supporting grocery retail is a key asset to KeHE's Merchandising Solutions and Sales Teams. The Space Management Analyst is responsible for capturing, creating, and updating planograms while working with Category Management, Sales & Marketing, and Growth Solutions. This position will also engage and coordinate the efforts of key stakeholders and subject matter experts to meet the scope and deadlines of projects. The individual in this position will utilize Apollo and/or JDA Space Planning software to merchandise product assortments into a planogram. A successful candidate will provide best in class merchandising solutions for a variety of retailers. In addition to building planograms, a successful Space Management Analyst will also be an expert at communicating merchandising insights and category analysis. Essential Functions

  • Research quantitative and qualitative information to support innovative merchandising solutions.
  • Compile actionable qualitative information to develop customer-centric category solutions.
  • Manage projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are clearly communicated and completed.
  • Assemble and proof final presentations/projects for accuracy, consistency, and visual appearance.
  • Evaluate past performance of presentations and projects to ensure ROI potential is maximized.
  • Stay abreast on consumer insights, category trends and product innovation.
  • Support other functional groups within the Merchandising Solutions Team on an as needed basis (e.g. Sales Enablement, Category Management).
  • Create planograms as defined by Category Management, Sales & Marketing, and/or Growth Solutions.
  • In-store replication and recreation of current on-shelf planograms.
  • Develop and support process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Develop and support tracking of assortment changes and analyze planogram success.
  • Participate in team meetings and share merchandising best practices.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field of study
  • 2+ years of relevant experience; preferably within the CPG space
  • Strong knowledge of JDA/Apollo software
  • Natural, specialty and/or fresh product knowledge with ability to recognize brands and trends
  • Experience with retail merchandising, grocery category management, the consumer package goods industry, and/or the grocery industry are a plus
  • Experience with syndicated, demographic/panel data, and consumer insights (SPINS, IRI, Mintel)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI a plus
  • Willingness to take initiative on projects with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate skill and competency with all Microsoft Office software
  • Possess a sense of urgency and attention to accuracy and detail
  • Strong understanding of merchandising tactics and strategies
  • Project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and creativity skills
  • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with other departments
  • Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced business environment
  • Capacity to learn and process quickly+
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10% travel)
