Job Description Solution Architect will play a lead role in helping define, implement and evolve key architectural components of the data ecosystem within CCB supporting the transformation journey to Data Products while simultaneously supporting the modernization journey of the systems supporting enterprise wide analytics, AI/ML, and BI. Our modernization journey includes the enterprise hybrid data lake on-premise and on the public cloud, data pipelines, data management practices, data quality systems, the data marketplace, operational data store (ODS), and numerous other components in the adoption and implementation of the target state architecture. As an member of the Solution Architecture team, you will focus on one or more aspects of the architecture, such as:

  • Define data strategies for CCB sub lines of business, and collaborate to build multi-generational roadmaps.
  • Define systems to meet the metadata capture and management needs of modern data architectures deployed at scale.
  • Drive data domain (DDD based) modeling, data engineering and data resiliency design standards across the microservices and analytics applications fabric for autonomy, agility and scale.
  • Work with the Lead Architects, Chief Information Architects, and CTOs on general and specific data strategies, solutions and technical guidance using industry standards and domain specific best practices.
  • Guide agile teams in applying these patterns to key software products and will guide software engineering teams in implementing customer-driven autonomous application architectures.
  • Act in the role of lead design authority to include: breaking down business requirements into technical tasks, establishing design and coding standards, performing code reviews, etc.
  • Work with agile teams on adoption of modern technologies to meet organization goals.
  • Ensure that proper data management rigor is in place so that users are confident in the quality of the data.


This position is global in reach, working with teams across the US and India. Our teams are agile in nature, and are rapidly taking on new capabilities, tools and methods including Automation, DevOps, and Cloud. Successful candidates will demonstrate technical acumen across a broad reach of technologies, and have the proven ability to adapt to an ever changing environment.
Desirable Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in data models, data pipeline concepts, and cloud based infrastructure disciplines such as Kubernetes, containerization, etc.
  • Expertise in data lake technologies - Hadoop/ Big Data/ S3 and database technologies like Teradata and Oracle Exadata.
  • Knowledge of distributed data technologies like AWS EMR, Redshift, and Snowflake.
  • Expertise with event sourcing and event streaming. Specifically with technologies like Kafka, Spark, and Java.
  • Expertise with metadata management and schema management.
  • Expertise in architecture practices such as reference architecture, patterns, and governance.
  • Experience with Rules Engines, REST APIs and Data Quality engineering at scale.
  • Experience with Domain Driven Design principles and Product boundaries.
  • Fluency in translating architectures into engineering designs.
