About the team
Come help build FIS's newest next generation instant payments platform - RealNet RTP. An elastically scalable, cloud-native account to account money movement platform, built with containerized microservices, best in class UX, and end-to-end automation. Our clients get a single seamless API interface to execute a payment in real time that they can track from start to finish through the RealNet UI. As part of the team, you'll get to work on an exciting technology stack, the AWS EKS Kubernetes, while building a highly scalable, globally available instant payments platform.
This scrum team works closely in conjunction with the product teams to enable them to accelerate their product modernization journey and building innovative solutions. This role is highly challenging, yet satisfying, and provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the digital journey at FIS.
What you will be doing

  • Requires 10+ testing experience in IT industry and preferably 5+ years of hands-on experience with automation tools. At least 2 years' experience in the banking / payments industry is preferable.
  • Experience testing Financial services project especially Faster Payments projects preferred.
  • Worked on public cloud platform-based projects.
  • Testcases, bugs/issue management, resolution with development etc..
  • Experience with Testing frameworks (Manual + Automation) preferred - Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, CI/CD integration.
  • Establish and operate Automation QA processes
  • Converting concepts and ideas to working POCs
  • Design and Development of Solutions and POCs
  • Work closely with product and business teams in developing solutions
  • Setup and maintain demo labs to showcase ideas and FIS solutions to internal and external business executives
  • Wearing a customer hat during developing solutions
  • Work as part of the scrum team
  • Works closely with IT leaders to develop/implement overall Automation and quality maturity roadmap and plan for each IT functional area.
  • Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develops, publishes and implements software quality assurance plans.
  • Consults with development, testing and production teams to develop, publish and implement software quality assurance plans.
  • Reviews progress toward software quality assurance plans regularly with IT leadership, technical teams and internal customers to make modifications as necessary.


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education preferred.
  • Knowledgeable on Testing framework (Manual + Automation) preferred options - Selenium, JUnit, Cucumber, Jenkins, CI/CD integrations.
  • Knowledge of Microservices Architecture and design, REST APIs, Security, Testing, and deployments in high throughput environments
  • Monitors, evaluates, manages and executes audit processes to ensure compliance.
  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexities
  • Be able to architect solutions using industry standard methodologies
  • Preferably having presence in industry network. Be on the forefront of interactive technologies
  • Familiar with agile and scrum methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner and team management
  • Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities across projects with project managers.
  • Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on quality assurance methodologies and processes and educates them on their responsibilities/accountabilities to achieve on-time and quality deliverables.
  • Makes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development lifecycle process.
  • Documents non-compliance to policies, processes and standards and assists in resolution.
  • Analyzes and identifies trends in IT performance metrics.
  • Designs, monitors and analyzes performance metrics program for quality improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts audits and analyzes findings to develop appropriate corrective action recommendations.
  • Provides training on established processes and policies.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

  • Knowledge of financial services industry or FinTech's.
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate quality management and improvement methodology, e.g., Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, Software Engineering Institute - Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM)
