We are seeking an engineer with a special interest in implementing and supporting business critical vendor packages and web service applications. The candidate would have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies associated with internally built applications and with interfaces between applications. This would include Java based and web service-based applications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and support business critical systems through strong collaboration with business partners, other platform delivery teams, and Architecture, Infrastructure, Governance and Operations teams.
  • Ability to work with vendor package technologies.
  • Support internally built interfaces to the vendor package, including Java batch and web based applications.
  • Research, select and implement vendor software applications (RFI/RFP).
  • Ability to learn proprietary technologies such as vendor specific scripting languages.
  • Perform analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and implementation activities.
  • Provide ongoing support for business applications and respond to production needs.
  • Work to solve problems innovatively and with a test and learn mindset.
  • Support modernization efforts such as Application Rationalization and optimizing applications on AWS.
  • Ensure effective and favorable relationships are developed and maintained with key stakeholders.
  • An ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Strong team worker, communicator, collaborative and excellent problem solving skills.



Preferred candidate may have knowledge of or experience using any of the following technologies:

  • Vendor package experience
  • Java
  • Spring Batch
  • SQL & SQL Server
  • Microsoft Access
  • SharePoint
  • Command Line, PowerShell, or Groovy Scripting
  • Web (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Junit
  • Git
  • Jenkins
  • Puppet
  • IIS
  • Informatica
  • Gradle



Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work with a Hybrid team
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science or related field)
  • Strong collaborator and communicator
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
