The Senior Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst supports the success of Humana's Direct Contracting Entity (DCE), Humana Care Solutions, by focusing on the improvement of the provider experience and quality improvement of our beneficiaries. The Senior Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst work assignments are varied and involve moderately complex to complex issues which frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate course of action. Humana Care Solutions is seeking someone for this role who is an inspired team player that demonstrates an agile mindset and is capable of thriving in an environment that motivates and builds talent.

Responsibilities

The Senior Value-Based Data and Reporting Analyst will work with the DCE's leadership team and internal and external partners to develop reporting and insights aimed at improving quality, outcomes, cost of care, and provider experience.

  • Designs, develops and manages operational dashboards, metrics, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources
  • Captures, integrates, and analyzes data from multiple sources to develop insights, trends, and other opportunities to assist in proactively managing the DCE
  • Performs regular quality assurance checks of data
  • Utilizes SQL, Python or R to build, maintain and store datasets
  • Creates specifications for reports based on business requests
  • Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, occasionally in ambiguous situations

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical experience in data reporting, interpretation and/or analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other data systems
  • 1+ year of experience in PowerBI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • 2+ years of project leadership experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboards
  • Experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues and work under minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences



Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other data systems
  • Experience creating automated reports and self-service tools
  • Experience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environment
  • Experience analyzing healthcare data and/ or with Value-Based Payment models
  • Experience as an IT project manager, writing requirements, user stories, testing, and managing through scrum processes



Additional Information

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.   • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
